At Revolution, we don't have volunteers. The problem with the word volunteer is that it makes us think of a loose commitment that can be changed or broken. But we serve God here! We always strive to give Him our very best - all the time! For that reason we only have staff. Understanding that, you can join the staff and serve God in a very unique way!
We have two requirements for each and every staff member, regardless of where you are serving. The first is to memorize Proverbs 12:1. It says this:
"Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but he who hates correction is stupid." Basically the verse reminds us that everyone makes mistakes - and we have to be ready to admit we made a mistake and make it our goal to love being corrected. Not because we're glad we messed up, but because we're glad we are now doing it better! On the flip side, if we're so arrogant that we can't accept correction the Bible calls us "stupid." Needless to say, it would be hard to work with such people - that's why we all memorize this verse. Secondly, we require that you take our Spiritual Gifts class. This is simply to help you and us understand how you can fit within any given ministry and find joy in ministering. The material is Chip Ingram's "Your Divine Design: How to Discover, Develop, and Deploy your Spiritual Gifts. It runs over 5 weeks with the final week going over existing ministries and finding were you best fit into the community. Once you have memorized Proverbs 12:1, and take the Spiritual Gifts class, setup a meeting with our Staff Coordinator, Tony Snyder, so we can figure out how God wants you to get involved! Other than that, for specific information on volunteering with Revolution or one of its affiliated programs check the menus on the right! There are many ways to work on staff not listed here.
